I am the Managing Director of All About STEM, a small company working with the business and education sectors, across the whole of the Liverpool City Region, to deliver a portfolio of projects that impact our young people and support the regional talent pipeline.
The programmes and events we run help our young people to understand the business ecosystem and pathways available within the LCR, ultimately giving them better life chances and helping to ensure that, as a region, we leave no one behind.
I was born and bred in the city. I grew up in Walton and Childwall and now live in Maghull. I’ve worked all over the country but there was only one place to set up my own business, back in 2011!
The Liverpool City Region has a proud history and a deep sense of community; a strong focus on relationships and collaboration, on improving the lives of everyone living and working in the region, and on doing that together. The city has a strong identity with innovative, passionate people at its core. I am always in good company and always inspired by our city’s talent!
Being able to work with so many amazing companies in the LCR has enabled us to grow our business from a little start-up to an established organisation. Our reputation and influence has been shaped in collaboration with the friends we have made along the way.
The work we do as All About STEM, simultaneously, both benefits from and contributes to the skills-pipeline, from grassroots up. Working with LCR schools we have been able to get young people excited about the subjects they study, translating them into career destinations within our region, shining a light on the world of career opportunities right here on our doorstep.
