ASG is a video game developer and publisher, with studios in Stockholm, New York, Malmö and Liverpool.
At ASG we want to give our players the freedom to choose, explore and create unforgettable moments. Whether you want over-the-top AAA experiences, immersive outdoor experiences or the chance to explore with friends, it’s all available through our three creative divisions Avalanche Studios, Expansive Worlds and Systemic Reaction.
I joined ASG in October 2020. As Location Manager I’m responsible for managing studio operations in Liverpool and as a leader in this location I am focused on supporting and facilitating the success of projects and creative divisions based here, supporting global strategies to grow diversified teams, and building relationships and networks in the city to ensure that we have a positive impact on the region.
Our studio is situated on the Royal Albert Dock estate, it’s a stunning location.
I was born in Liverpool, so my wider family are all in the region but I spent most of my childhood in Cheshire. A big part of the attraction of this role at ASG was the opportunity to come and work in Liverpool, as I’d never worked in the city before, having spent my career in other parts of the UK or abroad. I’m a huge fan of Liverpool, its character, vibrancy, diversity and most of all its people. It seems to combine the relentless pace and excitement of a big city with a true sense of community, so many cities these days look and feel the same but Liverpool really has its own identity. There is so much creativity, entrepreneurism and a real sense of fun here – this is what inspires me!
The team at the Growth Platform have been really helpful to us setting up our first studio in the UK, especially helping us make valuable connections in the region. It really made me feel supported and part of the business community from day one. I signed up to be an Enterprise Advisor as a way to support our mission to bring more diversity to our organisation, as well as to the games industry in general, and I’m confident that we’re going inspire future generations to join us enjoying careers in this exciting, creative world of games.
